DEAR COVENANT WARRIORS,
“CELEBRATE PROUDLY. BE PROUD OF WHO YOU ARE!” President Trump admonished Jewish people nationally and globally after a beach-side menorah-lighting ceremony in Australia was attacked by gunmen. At least fifteen people were killed, and 38 wounded, including two police officers.

AUSTRALIA LIGHTS THE LAMP FIRST. Dawn breaks, the sun sets, and the Hanukkah menorah is lit first from the land down under. Halfway around the world, Jerusalem has already beat Washington DC to the igniting. In fact, the National Menorah on the White House Ellipse won’t be lit for another hour, as of this writing.

CALIFORNIA? FOUR HOURS. But a gunman in Redlands CA did not wait. This past Saturday evening bullets riddled the home of a Jewish family who had decorated their lawn with a Hanukkah menorah, known as a “Hanukkiah,” as well as signs and lights celebrating the holiday. 

A driver fired 20 shots from his car, and screamed antisemitic slogans. The family had just returned from a shabbat meal.

HANUKKAH CELEBRATES COVENANT RESTORATION. The Maccabees rescued the lampstand in the Temple after the strongest army in the known world had snuffed out the fire on the altar. They relit the Temple menorah to reconsecrate the Temple to the Lord after it had been defiled. 

Jesus celebrated Hanukkah. Most likely, the One known as the Light of the World was actually conceived during the holy days of Hanukkah. Which means that for thousands of years Christians have been celebrating His birth during the time of his actual conception. 

One of our most profound prophetic words for the year is Hanukkah-centric. Last year we heard the Lord say that 2025 is the “year of the rescued lampstand.” The literal lamp of Zion was rescued in 2025. Israel was only nine days away from a potential decimation by a nuclear Iran when the rogue nation’s weapons were neutralized—just after we had visited Israel and prayed.

This year the rescue continues. But the Spirit of the Lord has called 2025 the “year of the ignited lampstand.” The barely-burning lamps rescued by His hand will blaze once again. And out of His rescued ones, God is raising up burning and shining lamps to impact nations for His glory. 

So Jew or gentile, take heart in the words of President Trump this Hanukkah. Lets together mourn those who have perished. Lets finally wake up the genuine threat your shining and ours will finally be to the kingdom of darkness. 

Together lets shine. And lets fully celebrate the Festival of Lights, the Feast of Dedication. Lets do so proudly, with eyes, hands and hearts courageously raised to the Lord of hosts. This is the way of our fathers. And it is our shared destiny beginning tonight.
