DEAR SHAVUOT WATCHMEN,
Looking forward to our conference call tonight. Our calls have been skyrocketing recently as we’ve been taking 15 minutes beforehand to pray in the Spirit. Thank you all who are leading this!

And with Shavuot fast approaching, it’s really the season. So honoring what the Lord has been doing over the past month and a half, I felt we should take tonight to focus on the profound gift the Lord has granted through praying in the Spirit.

Our friend Yolanda McCune will be sharing with us. She has received powerful revelation for the season exactly concurrent with what the Lord has been spontaneously birthing in our midst. Here’s some additional encouragement to build your spirit towards tonight.

“TELL ME—TELL ME NOW!”
Screaming these words and demanding truth, this is how counterterrorism agent Jack Bauer would interrogate his bad guys on the throwback thriller show “24.” You remember. In the unlikeliest of ways, Jack was inserted into an unfolding terror attack with the future of the nation at stake.  He had 24 hours to stop it and events play out in real-time.

And therefore real-time intelligence was needed to counter the enemy’s plans.

What is Truth?
The show “24” made for very good television. Jolene would say that, especially as an intercessor, it made for very good training. Especially the part about receiving, and acting upon, real-time intelligence to save the world. Now that we face a global pandemic where truth seems so elusive, it seems like we are living in the days where that training is now being put to work.

Here’s the problem. Who should we interrogate to find out what’s really true? Fauci? Birx? The creators of Plan-demic? Diplomats or the intelligence community? Heads of state? Maybe the good doctors from Bakersfield CA? How about the prophets?

Or maybe we could interrogate God?

Personally, I don’t recommend this too highly. Pontius Pilate tried it once, asking the question you and I long to have answered. Jesus—What is truth? Pilate probably went away disappointed by what he thought was silence from God. Maybe there was even some private frustration with God embedded in his decision to have Jesus crucified.

Yet all the while the greatest manifestation of Truth prevailing over lies played out before his very eyes, on a scale nobody at the time could even imagine. I AM the way, the truth and the life. The wages of sin is death. God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

Truth, resurrected.

Praying Breakthrough, Receiving Revelation
And it was exactly this Source of Truth that released tongues of holy fire, the very Kavod of God, on Shavuot. Acts 2 gives us the chronicle. By this He immersed or baptized His covenant people with the way, the truth, and the life. And He made it possible to for this immersion to fill us perpetually.

Praying in the Spirit is such a key for us. This is a primary means to connect us with God, unlocking God’s intercession with us and through us, unlocking His real-time spiritual intelligence to radically shift our world.

But when you pray in tongues, you are praying spiritual intelligence known to God and eventually to your human spirit. You are literally yielding to Heaven’s intercession and releasing His will on earth. The Apostle Paul made clear that don’t know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us and through us according to God’s perfect will (Romans 8:26).

In the midst of this expression we are invited to pray for the interpretation. And we often gain revelation from this process that far surpasses our own knowledge.  For one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God; for no one understands, but in his spirit he speaks mysteries…” (1 Corinthians 14:2).

Encrypted Communication from Another Realm
Receiving spiritual intelligence can make a few people a little nervous—especially if you tell them the communication came from another realm, and is strategically encrypted. Unlike an iPhone program or NSA algorithms or Jack Bauer’s interrogations, no cipher can machinize the translation. It remains a mystery until Holy Spirit Himself brings the unveiling.

Praying in the Spirit carries the power to release Heaven’s protection, revelation, and breakthrough. By the Spirit things can get set in motion that can even direct, or redirect, the course of human events. NOT BY MIGHT NOR BY POWER BUT BY MY SPIRIT!

Final point here. Sharing a secret. For all our years in ministry we’ve been waiting for this very moment. Back in 2006, Bob Jones prophesied to us about a time coming when the Bride would be given a gift. She would be ushered across the threshold out from the wilderness into the Spirit.

Bob prophesied this shift would begin to occur on June 6, 2007, the 40th anniversary of Jerusalem’s restoration under Israeli sovereignty. That became the date we launched Lamplighter, shifting into full-time ministry with this calling at heart.

And as of Shavuot 2020, we are seeing the Lord marry the miracles of Exodus with the miracles of Acts to usher His bride into the realm He intended for us all along. A Joshua movement is releasing us into inheritance, freedom and truth.

“But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God…” (Jude 20-21).

“Therefore let him who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret. For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is the conclusion then?I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding” (1 Corinthians 14:13-16).

“And in a similar way, the Holy Spirit takes hold of us in our human frailty to empower us in our weakness. For example, at times we don’t even know how to pray, or know the best things to ask for. But the Holy Spirit rises up within us to super-intercede on our behalf, pleading to God with emotional sighs too deep for words. God, the searcher of the heart, knows fully our longings, yet he also understands the desires of the Spirit, because the Holy Spirit passionately pleads before God for us, his holy ones, in perfect harmony with God’s plan and our destiny” (Romans 8:26-27).
