DEAR THRESHOLD SHAKERS,
PRESIDENT TRUMP SHOWED UP SUNDAY, spontaneously, to a local church in metro DC. On a day Franklin Graham called pastors and leaders across the nation to pray for our President, he was earnestly seeking prayer. And he was wanting to pray with the congregation for the victims and families of the horrendous shooting in Virginia Beach.
While the President of the United States stood at his left, a visibly nervous pastor quoted scriptures validating God’s call to pray for all governmental leaders, including those we may disagree with due to party affiliations or political ideologies. He then fulfilled Trump’s request. There was great applause.
Later, fearing potential division in the church due to praying for President Trump, the pastor wrote a letter to his congregation essentially apologizing to those who felt hurt by his prayer.
I was no fan of President Obama’s political ideology. But before President Trump, there was no president I prayed for more than Obama. I prayed for him in public, seeking God’s best for him and his family, even when it cost me to do so. I diligently sought both character traits and presidential decisions I could honor, and celebrated them in public and in our postings. I shared words from God’s Spirit which I hoped would bring enrichment.
But I prayed for him most in private. Standing on our perch distantly overlooking the White House, my fervency for God to touch his heart never waned.
Nor has it for President Trump.
Friends, a word of advice. Never ever apologize for bringing Heaven to earth on behalf of leaders God entrusts to your intercession. And never stop praying for them. Whether you agree with them or not, the best thing that could happen in their lives is the same best thing that can happen in your life when somebody prays for you. God is good, and He longs to display His goodness in a life-changing kind of way. Intercessor, you are absolutely a catalyst for His covenantal goodness to be revealed!
From Mayday to D-Day
In England, Jolene and I are rejoicing to see forerunning intercession we were personally engaged in for President Trump playing out before our eyes. More on this on tonight’s call.
As Trump noted, it was very sad to discover that friends in England and Wales knew so little of the significant accomplishments of the administration these past few years— literally in concert with decades of prayer. Is he eccentric? Yes. Do I agree with him all the time? No. But that certainly does not stop my prayers.
Another eccentric figure sought diligently for prayer in the darkest hour of his watch. During World War II, Winston Churchill called the United Kingdom to many days of prayer. Dunkirk was a prime example. Legendary intercessor Rees Howells led the Bible College of Wales into unceasing prayer. Documented miracles occurred which allowed the trapped British forces to be rescued… by little boats from across the channel!
Then came D-Day. Travails from the Bible College were amplified by prayers across the nation to stop Hitler’s occultic, globalist takeover once and for all. Prayer power, air power. A breakthrough by the “greatest generation” that secured and perpetuated freedom when it was most at risk of defeat.
I don’t believe it’s a coincidence that last December we gathered at the Trump International to commission God’s “Freedom Movement” on the 77th anniversary of our entry into World War II. We are once again engaged in a conflict of thrones, a battle for freedom that spans both our nation and the nations of the earth. From Mayday to D-Day! It’s once again time to shake the gates of resistance and release freedom to the nations.
And it’s time for covenant nations to align again for freedom. Israel, America and England especially.
Below is President Trump’s banquet speech as he toasted the Queen of England. I thought you’d find it interesting. Looking forward to tonight’s call!
President Trump’s Banquet Speech
“Your Majesty, Melania and I are profoundly honoured to be your guests for this historic state visit. Thank you for your warm welcome, for this beautiful weather, your gracious hospitality, and Your Majesty’s nearly seven decades of treasured friendship with the United States of America.
This week, we commemorate a mighty endeavour of righteous nations and one of the greatest undertakings in all of history.
Seventy-five years ago, more than 150,000 allied troops were preparing on this island to parachute into France, storm the beaches of Normandy, and win back our civilisation.
As Her Majesty remembers, the British people had hoped and prayed and fought for this day for nearly five years.
When Britain stood alone during the blitz of 1940 and 1941, the Nazi war machine dropped thousands of bombs on this country, and right on this magnificent city.
Buckingham Palace alone was bombed on 16 separate occasions. In that dark hour, the people of this nation showed the world what it means to be British.
They cleared wreckage from the streets, displayed the Union Jack from their shattered homes and kept fighting on to victory. They only wanted victory. The courage of the United Kingdom’s sons and daughters ensured that your destiny would always remain in your own hands.
Through it all, the royal family was the resolute face of the commonwealth’s unwavering solidarity.
In April 1945, newspapers featured a picture of the Queen Mother visiting the woman’s branch of the Army, watching a young woman repair a military truck engine. That young mechanic was the future Queen, a great, great woman. Her Majesty inspired her compatriots in that fight to support the troops, defend her homeland, and defeat the enemy at all cost.
We also pay tribute to Prince Philip’s distinguished and valiant service in the Royal Navy during the Second World War.
On D-day, the Queen’s beloved father, King George VI delivered a stirring national address. That day he said, after nearly five years of toil and suffering, we must renew that crusading impulse on which we entered the war and met its darkest hour. Our fight is against evil and for a world in which goodness and honour may be the foundation of the life of men in every land.
This evening, we thank God for the brave sons of the United Kingdom and the United States who defeated the Nazis and the Nazi regime and liberated millions from tyranny.
The bond between our nations was forever sealed in that great crusade. As we honour our shared victory and heritage, we affirm the common values that will unite us long into future – freedom, sovereignty, self-determination, the rule of law and reverence for the rights given to us by Almighty God.
From the Second World War to today, Her Majesty has stood as a constant symbol of these priceless traditions. She has embodied the spirit of dignity, duty, and patriotism that beats proudly in every British heart.
On behalf of all Americans, I offer a toast to the eternal friendship of our people, the vitality of our nations and to the long-cherished and truly remarkable reign of Her Majesty, the Queen. Thank you.
