DEAR FRIENDS,
“BLOW THE TRUMPET IN ZION, sound the alarm on My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble…” (Joel 2:1).
What a day to launch the “Watch of the Breaker” prayer project. We are thrilled that the national network HAPN has decided to adopt this project nationwide. While HAPN will take the lead in related prayer initiatives, we welcome all networks and movements nationwide to join the 21 day project. A similar directive is being received by so many leaders!
For instance, maybe it’s not a coincidence that respected prophets nationwide, including Dutch Sheets and others, are now also sounding the alarm over this summer and fall. Something big is now in motion. Though we are not totally clear about what the “something” is, the sense in the spirit is palpable here in Washington DC.
Receiving an Alarm from God…
While in Israel just a month ago, Jolene and I were given a literal alarm to sound. It was the final day of our Spirit of Elijah tour. A Jewish friend presented us with a very special shofar at Yad Vashem, Jerusalem’s holocaust memorial. Emblazoned on the horn are the words “Lion of Judah.” This was amazing since our friend had no idea that our recently published book ”Turnaround Decrees” is centered around a visionary encounter with the Lion of Judah.
Nor did our friend know that, ten days prior to our visit to Yad Vashem, a prophetic dream was presented to us that conveyed how the Lord would give us an alarm to sound ON THE FINAL DAY OF THE TOUR.
When Kristin Walch conveyed her dream to us, I sensed immediately the alarm was related to nuclear threats from Iran. Just days after we received the shofar at Yad Vashem, we were startled by breaking news that Iran had successfully enriched seven times the amount of uranium experts had predicted. Which means that potentially, they now have the capacity to quickly produce as many as seven nuclear devices. As Prime Minister Netanyahu noted, that’s enough to both “Strike Israel and hold any city of America hostage.”
Shofar Sounds—Call to Prayer
Biblically, the shofar is God’s chosen instrument to sound an alarm that alerts His people to an impending crisis. As depicted in Joel 2, above all else the alarm is meant to compel us to humble ourselves and pray.
Blow a trumpet in Zion, consecrate a fast, proclaim a solemn assembly, gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children and the nursing infants. Have the groom come out of his room
And the bride out of her bridal chamber.
Let the priests, the Lord’s ministers, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, “Spare Your people, Lord, and do not make Your inheritance a disgrace, with the nations jeering at them. Why should those among the peoples say, ‘Where is their God?’” (Joel 2:15-17).
From many different ministries, a trumpet is now sounding. Warnings about the fall are prevalent. Maybe it’s not a coincidence that this fall we are launching a “Lion of Judah” tour based on a prophetic word by Rick Ridings about a “wind tunnel” over the East Coast. To me a shofar is the ultimate depiction of a wind tunnel. It is meant to sound an alarm. And yet the breath of God blowing through it is also meant to BRING LIFE as we welcome it.
The Lion of Judah is Roaring
Let me close by sharing what I consider to be a landmark prophetic experience with the Lion of Judah. In this experience an alarm also was imparted to sound.
On October 19, 2020, while attending the HAPN annual gathering in Oklahoma City, the Lord gave me a vision. Early in the morning I awoke the form of a lion materializing in the hotel room. I knew immediately this was the Lion of Judah! At first His appearance was translucent. As I continued to watch, His appearance increased in vibrancy and glory. Then this Lion began to roar over the nation. The manifest Presence of God accompanied this visitation.
In the midst of the vision, times and seasons began to become clear. I saw again how 2020 was similar to the midnight hour when Jacob wrestled with the Angel of the Lord. Eventually at dawn he prevailed. Until that time darkness obscured both the form of the Lord and the surroundings of his environment. They were barely able to be perceived.
In the midst of the shofar blast, the Lion of Judah is now roaring. And here’s the word of the Lord for you. As you now engage with the Lord, your light awakens. Your wrestling leads to breakthrough. The veil of darkness that has obscured both your perception of Jesus and your understanding of the times IS BEING REMOVED.
Remember names convey identity. As Jacob became Israel, many of you are even going to be given a new name from the Lord prophetically. In your commissioning you are legitimized, authorized, and anointed to possess your inheritance!
While praying over this experience I saw how the Lion was referenced only one time in the entirety of the New Testament. In Revelation 5, the Apostle John is recorded entering into weeping in the midst of a vision of Heaven’s Throne. He saw a scroll in the hand of the Father, representing His desire for humanity. It was locked up with seven seals, and could not be unsealed until someone prevailed and gained the earned authority to open the book.
The conquest of Jesus’ redemption qualified Him alone to open the seals. And He is perceived both as the slain Lamb and the Lion of Judah, roaring over the enforcement of His redemption!
Friends it’s turnaround time. And His turnaround decrees are now being roared across the nation for individuals, for the body of Christ, for Israel and America, and for many nations of the earth.
JULY 1-21 WATCH OF THE BREAKER PRAYER PROJECT with prayer and fasting before the Throne. Three points for turnaround:
- Averting destruction and sabotage. Note that Israel and America are both threatened by a nuclear-armed Iran. Note also that the Jewish day of mourning Tisha b’Av occurs just four days after we culminate with the 7-22 Turnaround Jerusalem gathering. Lets pray for a divine reversal!
- Spirit of Elijah—Turnaround for our sons and daughters. Lets take 21 days to really contend for their destinies! Includes prayer coverage for “Dor Haba,” youth and young adult worship camp in Israel hosted by Rick and Patricia Ridings and Succat Hallel.
- Governmental breakthroughs for Israel and the America. Includes redemptive exposure, preservation of constitutional sovereignty and freedom for the United States, breakthroughs of justice for both nations “on earth as in heaven.”
