DEAR GLORY WATCHMEN,
BACK ON TRACK. That’s the invitation the Lord is giving us all personally, as well as our nation, in this hour. Today I want to cover one of the most secure and satisfying ways in which you and I can get back on track. Without fail the windows of heaven will open for you. Revelation will flow in real-time. The devourer of your harvest will be restrained. A curse over our land will be disempowered. 

And you will be reconnected with your own heart.

These promises are all in conjunction with the divine exchange of tithes and offerings. If you’ve been part of the Lamplighter family for a while, you know we occasionally share invitations publicly to make a contribution. These invitations are given at the direct leading of Holy Spirit. And it is amazing how blessing and breakthrough follow for those who respond. 

HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF A HEAP OFFERING? I had not until now. Three weeks ago, right around Purim, revelation poured from the Throne during a 4am prayer time. It all began when I opened my Bible randomly to 2 Chronicles 31. Below is a summary. 

Recovery After Economic Upheaval
The chapter recounts how the great king Hezekiah was enacting societal reforms that basically got Israel BACK ON TRACK through a time of economic and cultural upheaval. He ushered in a whole new era. As a forerunner expression of God’s Ekklesia, you and I have a similar opportunity. God wants to move with you and me as catalysts of recovery—to get America BACK ON TRACK! 

To catalyze God’s intended recovery, Hezekiah tore down the altars to Baal and the Asherim poles, calling the people to return to devotion to God alone. This is happening now in the body of Christ. 

Hezekiah then restored the priests and Levites to their calling. Now this is very important. Remember the priests and Levites led in joining Heaven to their Capital city, Jerusalem. They served in part as the “governmental intercessors” of the day. Yet in their time of economic upheaval many were forced to abandon their ministry because their provision had been cut off. 

As part of this recovery movement, Hezekiah demanded the priests of the Lord return to their duties. And he commanded the restoration of tithes and offerings to fund their work: 

“Also he told the people who lived in Jerusalem to give the portion due to the priests and the Levites, so that they might devote themselves to the Law of the Lord” (2 Chronicles 31:4).

Heap Offerings—Overflowing Generosity
Upon the king’s command, something crazy happened. Generosity flowed! The response of the people was so overwhelming that those giving oversight had to pile the offerings IN HEAPS! 

“As soon as the order spread, the sons of Israel abundantly provided the first fruits of grain, new wine, oil, honey, and of all the produce of the field; and they brought in abundantly the tithe of everything. The sons of Israel and Judah who lived in the cities of Judah also brought in the tithe of oxen and sheep, and the tithe of sacred gifts which were consecrated to the Lord their God, and placed them in heaps” (2 Chronicles 31:5-6).

Heap offerings. There you have it. Do this today, Lord! Grant an abundance for every good work. 

Final point about the heap offering itself. Scripture says this movement of generosity was initiated IN THE THIRD MONTH. Which is why we are responding to this invitation beginning now.

“IN THE THIRD MONTH they began to make the heaps, and they finished them by the seventh month. When Hezekiah and the rulers came and saw the heaps, they blessed the Lord and His people Israel” (2 Chronicles 31:7-8).

Recovery—Pursue, Overtake, Recover All
Again, we are in a similar season of restoration right now. God’s mandate beginning Passover is to PURSUE, OVERTAKE AND RECOVER ALL. It’s why we are again engaging in the Glory Train. It’s why leaders across the land are rising up in a similar way. But as in Hezekiah’s day, this movement is being called forth by the Lord at a time when offerings across the land have become more scarce. 

I believe what happened in Hezekiah’s day will actually break forth in our own. It’s time for heap offerings! Right here, right now—for Lamplighter and for many ministries—from Washington to Washington to Jerusalem! 

I also believe the Lord will respond now just as He responded then. Watch this now… 

Recovery of Abundance
“Then Hezekiah questioned the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps. Azariah, the chief priest of the house of Zadok, said to him, “Since the contributions started coming into the house of the Lord, we have had enough to eat with plenty left over, for the Lord has blessed His people, AND THIS GREAT QUANTITY IS LEFT OVER!” (2 Chronicles 31:9-10).

What was initiated through this offering? THE RECOVERY OF GOD’S ABUNDANCE for their new era! God responded to the corporate giving of His people by multiplying the harvest of their offering back to them immediately. “We’ve had enough to eat with plenty left over, FOR THE LORD HAS BLESSED HIS PEOPLE. And this great quantity is left over!”

Beloved, now through Passover lets prepare extravagant, overly generous offerings to the Lord! Lets see how He responds. Because for the forerunner Ekklesia of the body of Christ especially, the blessing of the Lord is being commanded as we respond.
