Tomorrow—Sandy Newman Joins!
First—we are so excited that Sandy Newman is joining us tomorrow from Kansas. What a time to connect the heartland to the Capitol! She will be sharing powerful revelation on the new year 5776, and PROPHESYING INTO THIS NEW YEAR.
For those few who don’t yet know Sandy… she’s not hard to describe. Yes she’s got a tremendous track record of accuracy in the prophetic. She’s definitely an apostle, with very clear demonstrations of authority that have impacted Kansas over decades. And yes, she was key in standing for an amazing turnaround in Kansas government, with Sam Brownback unexpectedly winning another breakthrough term.
On top of all this, she’s hilarious.
But when I think of Sandy, I respect her most as a General to the body of Christ. For real. So join us tomorrow evening for a special Yom Kippur prayer call, as we set a new course for our lives and nation.

Pope Arrives as Yom Kippur Begins
Yom Kippur begins at sunset this evening. What an honor to watch and pray in Washington DC through this sacred day!
The Pope has just arrived. I really don’t know what to make of the fact that Pope Francis has chosen the Day of Atonement to begin his ministry in our nation’s Capitol. But it’s definitely significant.
Davids Tent… Dismantled?
For the Pope’s visit, David’s Tent has been ordered dismantled and temporarily removed from the National Mall. A group of spiritual revolutionaries kept the 24-7 vigil blazing there last night, through bone-chilling rain in the open air. They are true heroes.
You cannot miss the irony, though, of 24-7 worship being swept off the Mall to accommodate the Pope’s processional. On Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year according to Jewish tradition. The day when the High Priest enters the Holy of Holies to atone for the sins of the nation.
If I Were the Pope…
So if I were the Pope, as the high priest of the Catholic Church I would be looking for an opportunity to present Christ’s body and blood for the atonement of a nation and people this Yom Kippur. And I’d be looking for an expression of the Holy of Holies in Washington DC. A place that’s sacred, a place that’s not in itself a source of sin and deception and defilement. A portal to the true Holy of Holies in Heaven.
The White House? Probably not. But just across the street from the White House I’d be seeking a little white Tent. Where a few genuine worshipers cling to the heart of God night and day for our city and our nation.
It really is too bad Davids’ Tent is not an option right now.
This Yom Kippur… BE Davids Tent!
So here’s my suggestion. Each of you BE DAVIDS TENT! You are kings and priests to your God. Take time tonight through tomorrow to cry out in repentance for your sins, and the sins of the nation. Lets gather together before the Throne, in the very Holy of Holies.
Our High Priest is already there, waiting for your arrival. He’s a Man much greater than the Pope. Only Jesus Christ, the High Priest of our confession, can grant us all the forgiveness we so desperately need, and so little deserve. Our High Priest actually gave His own body and blood to redeem us all!
Please… this Yom Kippur, plead with Christ for a turnaround for our Nation. Ask for the full release of His new move. With cleansing streams that wash Washington clean of our many embedded sins. With a White House that resonates the unyielding rainbow of God’s sacred covenant with mankind.
This is a much better verdict than we deserve. But one we so desperately need.
