In the glow of Saturday’s setting sun, a group of spiritual pioneers made their way to the Meridian Stones on the White House Ellipse—both of them—to take part in a national prophetic action that culminated Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.
From the Washington DC to San Francisco, from Texas to Minnesota, a plumb line was dropped. I can tell you that the weight of heaven backed up this demonstration of Christ’s verdict this Yom Kippur. And we as a nation were released into God’s new season of justice.
Ironically, until a day before, I knew nothing about this nationwide effort, catalyzed by Cindy Jacobs’ Reformation Prayer Network. Which is somewhat extraordinary, seeing that we currently serve as RPN Mid-Atlantic leaders.
What stunned me even more was to discover how the initiative planned to drop the plumb line in DC… in conjunction with Davids Tent!
As Yom Kippur culminated, a strategic prayer team from PA and DC joined with RPN leaders in every state to release God’s plumb line of justice.
Plumb Line: Releasing New Season of Justice
You may think I’m complaining for being out of the loop… but quite the opposite is true. Most of you know we’ve been prophesying since this summer’s Glory Procession about a new season of justice for our land. I felt that many verdicts recently rendered by the Throne were going to begin to be executed in a greater way beginning with Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and the fall feasts. God renders His verdict, and then He makes war to enforce His judgment in the earth (Rev. 19:11).
And there is no prophetic action in the entirety of the Word of God that conveys this release of justice like the dropping of a plumb line. “I will make justice a measuring line and righteousness a plumb line,” declared Isaiah. “Hail will sweep away your refuge of lies, and floodwaters will wash away your hiding place” (Isaiah 28:17).
To summarize—God asked us to step out and prophetically announce His new season of justice for America. And without our even knowing, a nationwide prophetic action was set in place to convey and governmentally release this very word. At the very culmination of Yom Kippur, when the verdicts for the new year are sealed and prepared for release.
You just cannot make this stuff up.
Turns out the Plumbline Initiative was spontaneously planned just a few days before during the annual RPN Generals Gathering in Dallas. Jolene and I felt we needed to remain praying in DC, fulfilling our commitment with Davids Tent, so we missed the gathering for the first time. Meanwhile, friends from Philadelphia, instigators of the initiative, planned to release their “brotherly love” plumb line as they led worship at Davids Tent Saturday.
Rosh Hashanah: Two National Shifts in Justice
Remember how, according to Jewish tradition, God renders judgment on Rosh Hashanah and seals the verdicts ten days later on Yom Kippur. God’s people are encouraged to repent for past sins, reconcile with their brothers and sisters, and present their offerings so as to make a break from past cycles and obtain a more favorable verdict before the judgments are sealed.
Major “justice shifts” began immediately as of Rosh Hashanah. The announcement the Attorney General’s resignation on this very date clearly marks a shift in national justice. Once again, it was extraordinary timing, with RPN’s 21 day “Stop Corruption” Prayer Project culminating just the day before. I truly pray this action was meant to convey sincere repentance for the clear toleration of past injustices and even deceit.
Additionally, the beheading of a woman in America’s heartland solidified our renunciation of politically correct complacency toward radical Islam—in our nation, in Israel, the mideast, and in the nations.
Other prophets have given similar words. Neville Johnson warned of a season of potential calamity in America as of Yom Kippur 2014. Rick Joyner and Cindy Jacobs released strong words of warning as well. And you know that seven years ago, James Goll saw this Day of Atonement as a time when a “boiling cauldron” would begin to spill over in the Mideast. This is a primary reason why we extended the Burning Lamp Watch.

Yom Kippur: Two Witnesses in DC
God mandates that every word be confirmed in the mouths of two or three witnesses (2 Corinthians 13:1). In Washington DC this Saturday, two clear signposts, initiated from His Throne, actually demarcated this new season of justice.
The plumb line was dropped at sunset. And beforehand, Matt Lockett and the Justice House of Prayer team held an extraordinary vigil marking the 10th anniversary of their “Life Tape witness” before the Supreme Court. It was a true privilege for me to join in this silent cry before the highest courts of heaven and earth.
Ponder this a moment. What are the chances that the 10th anniversary of the Justice House of Prayer culminated precisely on Yom Kippur 2014?
You cannot make this up.
And again, it was no coincidence that God’s plumb line was dropped on the White House Ellipse to culminate Yom Kippur. Prophetically, the plumb line that was released from God’s Throne was extended through the second heaven, into our realm, and even into the depths of the earth. The plumb line helps us more clearly discern and evaluate the structures of earth from Heaven’s standard.
And above all else, the plumb line demands our alignment. At least if we want to receive forgiveness, and see the consequences of our sin mitigated.
Faneuil Hall—Two Declarations of Justice
As mentioned before, we sensed since this summer that we’ve all been forerunning God’s new season of justice. Remember the Faneuil Hall gathering on 7-22. The Lord called us to gather from the 13 colonies and across the nation, because on 7-22 He was rendering His Daniel 7:22 judgment in favor of the saints.
From the historic “Womb of the Revolution,” two “justice verdicts” were presented. On that day Gary Beaton saw the gavel fall as he presented the Liberty Charter. I released several decrees as well, compiled and released at the culmination of the Glory Procession as the Reconstitution of the United States. It’s worth reviewing these Throne Room verdicts in light of today’s new work.
Chuck Pierce and Dutch Sheets then prophesied about a new birth of freedom for our nation. And they prophesied a fresh infusion of supernatural faith for the body of Christ. That faith, according to Chuck, was first to protect God’s covenant seed in the same way that Moses’ parents protected him at birth. Chuck saw a 3 month exertion of faith for this protection, ending on October 22.
Friends, this should really be a plumb line for you, helping you discern how and why the enemy’s been contending with you. We are still in this season of exercising our faith to protect the covenant seed God has entrusted to us.
The Warrior Mantle
I love how the Lord orchestrates our steps. We felt to extend the prayer watch until October 24, the very time Chuck prophesied about. For now, Psalm 91 is key, as is receiving communion daily. I highly recommend that you pray Psalm 91 devotionally every day, receiving the Table of the Lord and interceding for your family, your region, Israel and America. We will be doing the same from our perch in Washington DC.
Wednesday: Blood Moon Marks Feast of Tabernacles
Finally, on Wednesday morning a rare “blood moon” will mark the beginning of the Feast of Tabernacles. Remember that God also gives signs in the heavens as a witness of His work.
Throughout history, the blood moon has consistently marked seasons of conflict in the Mideast and the nations. We’re going to explore this more tomorrow. But for now, it’s important to remember again that we’re entering into a season where the justice of God has been rendered, and will now be enforced in a much greater way, restraining the enemy’s work and advancing His Kingdom. No King but Jesus!
“And I will grant wonders in the sky above, and signs on the earth below—blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. The sun will be turned into darkness, AND THE MOON INTO BLOOD, before the great and glorious day of the Lord shall come. And it shall be that everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord will be saved” (Acts 2:19-21).
