We have long felt that, as we passed the 40th anniversary of Roe v Wade on January 22, the Lord was somehow rendering judgment on abortion. Since the beginning of this project, we have sought Him for understanding. Tomorrow we will present to you a draft of the Life Decree, which I feel to be a collective summary conveying God’s verdict.

Before tomorrow’s release, I want to highlight a few key signposts on this journey with the Lord.

Deceptive Weights and Divine Deadlines
The Lord gave our friend Matt Lockett some clear directives, which were chronicled in his posting “Deceptive Weights and Divine Deadlines.” The fact that we ran the posting on January 22 conveys how highly we esteem this word.

We were praying together during midnight watches when Matt experienced God’s heart regarding the value of life, and the purposeful deceit as life is “weighed out” in the scales of justice. It was amazing to read Daniel 5, which chronicles God’s verdict regarding Belshazzar. It’s all about deceptive scales and divine deadlines! “You have been weighed in the scales and found wanting. God has numbered your days of rulership and brought it to an end.”

Belshazzar–Baal Protects Kingship
Today I discovered the meaning of Belshazzar. Literally, the name means “Bel protecting kingship.” Baal is protecting the kingship of a human ruler!

The name Baal means “slavemaster” or “harsh taskmaster. ” No coincidence this principality is forming demonic shields to protect earthly rulers dedicated to perpetuating idolatry, unjust bloodshed, sin and subjugation. This is how Pharaoh’s rulership was established, and unfortunately it is how many rulers are empowered today.

Isaiah described how God is annulling “covenants with death and pacts with Sheol” (Isaiah 28:18) designed to protect the rulership of kings. By this annulment, all that was hidden became exposed. With Belshazzar, when God’s verdict came down, all of the sudden his demonic shield was restrained from him. And God’s scales of justice exposed what was lacking. Again–what a key lesson for rulers of today to understand!

Abortion–Prophetic Experience Jan. 22
We also discovered the stunning prophetic word by Crystal Kain-Ross, chronicling her experience with the Lord on January 22, 2013. Her experience is the clearest overview of both God’s heart and His judgment regarding nationally legalized abortion I have ever seen. She had no idea of what was transpiring here in DC, yet shared specific details pertaining to key initiatives already in motion.

For instance, while emphasizing the National Cathedral, Crystal prophesied a 40 day window of grace for intercessors beginning on January 22. And on January 22, at a church just a block or so from the National Cathedral, Jason Hershey had started a 45 day vigil to pray for the ending of abortion!

Abortion and Swift Cloud Justice
On January 13, 2012, Rick Ridings gave a stunning prophecy for Washington DC. “As I say in Isaiah 19 when I come on a cloud swiftly the idols and the gods of Egypt will tremble before me…. The gods of Egypt thought they had a throne through freemasonry and the wrong foundations that were laid at the corners of the District of Columbia, at the points of the gates. But the Lord says, those thrones of the enemy that have been set at the gates of DC are going to come down because I am coming on a cloud swiftly.”

On June 28, 2012, Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts announced the Court’s decision to validate the constitutionality of Obamacare–essentially by defining it as a tax on the American people. This provided for the largest expansion of government funded abortions since Roe v Wade.

On June 29, 2012, almost without warning, an inline hurricane formed and swept through the Washington DC region, knocking out power to some two million people. A line of thunderstorms converged near Chicago that morning. It formed into the derecho, with wind gusts of 60-80 mph, severe lightning and even hail, leaving a trail of destruction between Chicago and the Delmarva peninsula.

The Lord literally “rode on a cloud, swiftly” into Washington DC the very day after the Supreme Court announced its decision allowing for the expansion of abortion. Coincidence? I don’t think so. Instead, I believe the Lord was demonstrating His Throne Room verdict, an ancient verdict which supersedes all the verdicts of man.

Call it “swift cloud justice.”

And through this “swift cloud justice,” the Lord was continuing to issue His clear warning to the governmental seat of the strongest nation in the world. As Abraham Lincoln rightly perceived, he perpetuation of unjust bloodshed must eventually be met by the justice of God.

Isaiah 28: Covenant with Death Annulled
Isaiah 28 parallels this theme–including the imagery of storms. As noted before, the Lord declares that “the covenant with death shall be annulled, and your pact with Sheol will not stand; when the overwhelming scourge passes through, then you will become its trampling place” (Isaiah 28:18). From the text before, we can infer this scourge at least involves a large storm. “I will make justice the measuring line, and righteousness the level; Then hail will sweep away your refuge of lies, and the waters will overflow the secret place” (v.17).

Divorcing Baal, Remarrying the Lord
That was 2012. In 2011, Rick Ridings felt that God was re-constituting a prophetic word he had back in 1998, known as the Nutcracker Prophecy. He saw a vision of a nutcracker over Washington DC, and felt the Lord was going to crack the “hard shell of demonic resistance” over the Capitol.

Most of you are familiar with our journey from 2011 til present. How in 2011 we and other HAPN/RPN leaders nationwide sought a divorcement from Baal–literally an annulment of the covenant with death holding the land in paralysis. Led by John Benefiel (HAPN) and Cindy Jacobs (RPN), we repented at more than 10,000 altars of historic idolatry, receiving God’s Throne Room verdict of divorcement from Baal.

Then on July 4, 2011 at the Lincoln Memorial, this project was culminated by presenting the Lord with a Declaration of Covenant, seeking His hand in marriage according to our covenantal foundations. In establishing the gathering, Jolene and I literally sought the Lord to “crack the nut” of demonic resistance, according to Rick’s word.

Exactly 50 days later, on August 23, an earthquake shook Washington DC. It cracked the Washington Monument, toppled gargoyles on the National Cathedral, and even damaged the most prominent altars to Baal in Washington DC, located at the House of the Temple.

Foundation Laid for Today
Can’t make this up! The Lord was making clear He had agreed to both this divorcement from Baal and to the renewal covenant with our land.

Further, I believe receiving this verdict of divorce from Baal and renewal of covenant with Christ was absolutely necessary before we could covenantally deal with abortion. Through this journey and many others, a key foundation has been laid for the body of Christ to advance. Things may look challenging, but they looked that way in the days of Elijah as well. Even through these challenges, God is turning the hearts of the fathers back to the children, and the children to the fathers.

Laying the Cornerstone of Jesus
Through this covenant renewal, I believe the cornerstone of Jesus Christ was covenantally laid in Washington DC. Sounds crazy–but I also believe this earthquake was due to the impact on the region of this cornerstone being laid. It really speaks of what the Lord is doing in our land!

Until tomorrow, I want to close with a fuller rendering of Isaiah 28.

Therefore, hear the word of the Lord, O scoffers, who rule this people who are in Jerusalem; Because you have said, We have made a covenant with death,And with Sheol we have made a pact. The overwhelming scourge will not reach us when it passes by, for we have made falsehood our refuge and we have concealed ourselves with deception.”

Therefore thus says the Lord God, Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone, a costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed. He who believes in it will not be disturbed.

I will make justice the measuring line, and righteousness the level; then hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters will overflow the secret place. 

Your covenant with death will be canceled, and your pact with Sheol will not stand; when the overwhelming scourge passes through,then you become its trampling place (Isaiah 28:14-18).
