Last September James Goll gave a sobering prophetic call. God had alerted him that our homeland was again vulnerable to terrorist activity. James was stirred early in the morning by the Lord on September 11, 2012. As he shared on our conference call September 12, he was stunned to discover our US ambassador to Libya had been murdered in the now-infamous Benghazi attack.

On our conference call, James compelled us all to take responsibility for focused intercession for homeland security–for both the United States and Israel. He then shared his sense Jolene and I were to take a leading role.

I have prayed into James’ admonition since this time. Two weeks ago the Lord warned me about potential terrorist attacks in April. I said nothing to Jolene, but she had a dream that very night warning of the very same thing.

Lamp Alerts
So beginning now, we will be sending out “Lamp Alerts” focused on homeland security in addition to our prayer postings. These alerts will be inherently prophetic. They will be distributed to our Lamplighter family and, as the occasion warrants, to the HAPN and RPN networks. For our Lamplighter family especially, they will mandate immediate prayer.

In the next few weeks I will also be starting a separate conference call for those called specifically to “homeland security prayer.” We will begin to collaborate and build from there.

Please note that these “Lamp Alerts” will deal with urgent matters pertaining to the security of the United States and Israel. It is my core conviction that we cannot take responsibility for the US without also taking responsibility in prayer for Israel.

This urgent need for prayer is not really news–especially for those who read the news. And many competent ministries are already issuing alerts on many levels. We just want to add strength to strength, responding to the call James issued. It resonated at a very deep level, especially having worked at the Department of Homeland Security before stepping into fulltime ministry.

As Rees Howells Kept Watch…
OK! Let me address a brief distinction regarding these alerts. We feel the Lord has spoken to us of a clear correlation between this era and the era in which famed intercessor Rees Howells kept watch. James Goll mentioned this correlation as well. You probably know that Rees Howells watched and prayed through World War II, propelling through prayer the push against the Nazi attempt to rule the world. He also carried a tremendous prayer burden for the re-establishment of the nation of Israel.

We feel that just as Rees Howells kept watch, so the Lord has raised up many like-hearted intercessors for America and Israel in this hour. Friends, none of us can afford to take this invitation lightly! This has always been part of our collaboration together. But it’s now time to take things to a new level.

Lamp Alert: Israel, Syria, and the Chuck Hagel Appointment
Lets begin now. Yesterday former senator Chuck Hagel, who is President Obama’s Secretary of Defense nominee, testified on Capitol Hill. Stunning statements were brought to light, especially his views regarding Israel and Iran.

Almost as a backdrop to the nomination hearings, Iran vowed to strike Israel if further military action in Syria is taken. This has all the potential to become a perfect storm.

When James Goll joined us September 12, he gave a vivid prophetic warning about Syrian chemical and biological weapons. Years before all this, the Lord spoke to him that when the world focused on a nuclear Iran, Syrian weapons would actually be the greatest threat to Israel.

We are calling for two immediate actions. First and most urgent is focused intercession for Israel at this time, specifically for these weapons to be confiscated and dismantled before they could be used.
