All aboard the Glory Train! Jolene and I are now en route from New Orleans to Houston TX. We are very grateful for your watchful care, as the meetings in New Orleans were nothing short of incredible. I’ll share highlights in a moment.
But first, heads-up that Bill and Marlene Brubaker are leading tonight’s call. Our schedule in Houston does not permit us to lead tonight, though I hope to join in briefly. From Potty-gate to the elections to the Glory Train, here’s much to pray about. Glad you always get the job done!
Crown of Glory for New Orleans!
Today I want to briefly convey two strong prophetic perceptions from our time in New Orleans. Looking back, it was amazing how God sequenced our steps. We ministered Sunday morning at Gideon Christian Fellowship, led by Apostle Willie Wooten. As we crossed Lake Ponchartrain, I saw a crown over New Orleans. I felt that this tumultuous city was at a major turning point, almost as though the Lord Himself was claiming the city and crowning His people for His glory.
During the service, the Lord gave me another vision of a crown. I saw a white gold crown before the Throne. I knew the crown was for Apostle Wooten, and sought to bring it back to him. But in the vision the weight of the crown was so heavy I simply could not lift it.
As I sought direction, I sensed the Lord saying, “Ask for My winds to usher the crown from heaven to earth.” I knew that crowns represent earned authority. So it seemed to me that the Lord was releasing crowns to Apostle Willie and his congregation to honor their obedience unto promotion in the spirit.
Usually I like to process a vision like this for a while, but our friend and apostolic leader Roger Merschbach just blew that idea out of the water. Roger got up and prophesied to the whole assembly that “TODAY is your graduation day!” A time of promotion and advancement!
Before he spoke, I had no idea of Roger’s word, nor did he have any idea of mine. But it was the same theme exactly. Needless to say, the Lord quite literally crowned Gideon Christian Fellowship Sunday for His glory. Promotion and Kingdom advancement!
Often, when the Lord is releasing gifts to one He is releasing gifts to many. You might just have entered a season of promotion as well. If so, congratulations! Your crown looks great on you.
Maccabees—Restoring the Lampstand
Last night we ministered in Covington LA at a home group, and quite literally found ourselves in glory. During worship our host Sonja Clark heard a train rolling through the living room. It seemed so real, she was somewhat startled that others didn’t hear it as well! She didn’t actually make the connection with the Glory Train for a few more minutes. Awesome!
In prayer before service I had a strong impression the Lord was restoring His lampstand in Covington. The Crown and the Lampstand—a double portion for the New Orleans region! I was still pondering this word when the lion named Roger roared again. “Sonja, the Lord calls you His hammer! You are a hammer for the Lord!”
Needless to say I was in shock. Most of you already know that the word “Macabee” in Hebrew means “hammer.” And that the spiritual revolutionaries known as Maccabees restored the lampstand in the temple after it had been desecrated. Thus begun the miracle which made the menorah famous worldwide, the miracle of Hanukkah.
Two for two, Roger. I’m glad God graced us to keep up with you, for real.
Access—First Love Devotion
Much of what we shared last night was focused on God’s lampstand, and how He wants us to return to “first love devotion” to Jesus Christ. We’ve all been through some tremendous challenges i this past season. But I have good news for you. We have entered into a new season of access with Yeshua where He has turned His face to His covenant people again. That’s really the only reason we can turn to Him!
Revelation 2 really spoke to our hearts:
“‘I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil men, and you put to the test those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and you found them to be false; and you have perseverance and have endured for My name’s sake, and have not grown weary. But I have this against you, that you have left your first love. 5 Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place—unless you repent” (Rev. 2:2-5)
Behold the Bridegroom
Remember the scripture Bonnie Jones gave us prophetically a few weeks ago. Bonnie awoke at 3:33 am with a stern warning from the Lord that “America is on a road to destruction unless we turn it around now!”
But God gave her a promise for this turnaround He is offering. From Jeremiah 33:11, God is restoring “The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the Lord of hosts… For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the Lord.”
Turnaround! Note that as God conveys His turnaround for the land, He is bringing it forth with a promise of restoring the voice of joy and gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the bride. Intimacy with Him! Not in a superficial sense, but a genuine encounter with His abiding majesty, personally and corporately.
There really is an awakening going on. The voice of the Bridegroom is again in the land, stirring His people and causing dormant lamps to blaze again with passionate devotion and clarity. It’s time to hear His voice again, summoning you to join Him. Behold the Bridegroom, He’s here! Rise up to meet Him!
