ADVANCE 2014 Begins Tomorrow!
Tomorrow we begin our yearly time of consecration and prophetic exploration. We will launch into this 22 day prayer project with a special Wednesday evening prayer call. Fresh revelation the Lord shares with us tonight will be covered tomorrow, along with a time of prayer and sharing.
Many who receive these postings are planning to fast the entire 22 days. I would strongly encourage fasting in some form, especially laying aside smart phones, iPads and other media communicators to focus on Jesus and consecrate yourself afresh to Him.
Look what the Lord has Done!
God has given us a focus this year on His “Crown and Throne.” Last year the Holy Spirit highlighted a “New Birth of Freedom” He wanted to release to our region and nation. He spoke to us that 2013 would be “a great year to be born, and a great year to be born again.” As most of you know, two assignments accompanied these words—praying for a breakthrough on abortion, and praying for the birthing of a move of Holy Spirit that would eventually sweep multitudes into the Kingdom.
Did you see the news today? Truly the Lord has granted breakthroughs on abortion! A record breaking 87 surgical abortion clinics shut their doors in 2013! This is in addition to at least 14 states passing legislation greatly restricting abortions as well as mandating much greater oversight and accountability. Hallelujah! And Lamplighter family you are heroes in my book for your vigilant intercessory stand. We can’t wait to see what the Lord will do this coming year!
IHOP Global Leaders Roundtable
Kingdom collaboration has already begun to set the course for this new year. Jolene and I returned just this morning from a historic, precedent-setting roundtable with 500 prayer and ministry leaders, missions directors and senior pastors. They came from all 7 continents and many different streams and denominations for the invite-only roundtable, held in conjunction with the annual “One Thing” gathering. It was a dream come true to worship with a record-breaking 32,000 Jesus lovers at Bartle Hall!
